Is MODUS not Modus Film anymore?

In late 2025 Modus Film rebranded to become MODUS. Our business direction was changing and we were becoming more of a Digital Marketing Agency when many of our clients began requesting more support with marketing their digital products. 

We are still video specialists and love creating content. Now we fuse AI-driven technologies into our business model to guarantee that the content we produce will drive trackable ROI for our clients.

Working with a dedicated MODUS Project Manager, we’ll take care of every stage of your video journey, from planning, storyboarding, scripting, pre-production, filming, sound, voiceover, animation, post-production, and distribution.

We operate across the UK and Europe, including Kent, London, Bristol, Berkshire, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Yorkshire.

We work with a variety of clients and budgets, whatever your requirements, we can find a solution. Every brief receives a personalised budget, tailored so you only pay for what you need.

Video costs depend on several factors:

  • How long we need for filming on location

  • Crew size (including travel, setup, and pack-down time)

  • Number of filming locations

  • Complexity (e.g. animation or graphics)

  • Whether we’re producing a single or multi-video series

Every project is different, but generally our process follows four key stages:

1. Consultation
We meet with you to understand your business, goals, audience, and message. This helps define what your video needs to achieve. We’ll discuss your objectives and how you’d like to be involved. You can have as much or as little input into scripting, filming, and editing as you wish.

2. Pre-production (Planning)
We’ll develop a storyboard, shot list, and script to give you a clear picture of your final film. If we’re using a voiceover, we’ll write the script together. For interviews, we’ll provide a list of approved questions and coordinate filming schedules and deadlines.

3. Production (Filming)
This is where the magic happens. Our crew brings all the creative elements together and captures your footage. For interviews, we can offer basic media training to help contributors feel comfortable.

4. Post-production (Editing)
Editing takes place in our studio where we handle sound editing, music, and colour correction. Drafts are shared online for your feedback before the final version is delivered via secure transfer.

Every video project varies, but typically takes between 2 weeks and 4 months, from our first meeting to the final delivery.

Timelines depend on planning, production, and post-production requirements. Clients on ongoing video marketing packages often benefit from same-day delivery for content.

Most shoots involve one or two videographers, depending on the scope of your project. For larger or more complex shoots, we can provide additional camera operators, drone pilots, or lighting technicians as needed.

We use professional 4K video cameras, lighting kits, radio microphones, and green screens. We frequently invest in new cameras and editing software to keep up with the latest industry standards and ensure every project meets our high production values.

Yes, just provide the images you wish to include in high resolution, and we’ll take care of the rest. Our team may suggest alternatives if we feel it will help your video perform better and achieve your marketing goals.

Yes. We can edit and repurpose your existing footage, just contact us for a quote. Our editors can combine archive material with new content to create a cohesive, professional video that aligns with your brand’s current objectives.

Absolutely. We can compose bespoke music or source licensed tracks from our music library to match your tone and style.

If you need a voiceover, we’ll provide samples from our network of professional voice artists based in Kent, London, and internationally.

Yes, our equipment is fully portable, allowing us to travel anywhere in the world. Travel and accommodation expenses are included in your project budget.

We regularly film across Kent, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Oxfordshire, Manchester, and throughout Europe.

Yes. We work with a trusted network of professional actors across Kent and London to support scripted productions, brand films, and commercials.

Yes, MODUS does create and manage websites for a handful of clients.

We have in-house specialists who deal in search engine optimisation and website creation.

Yes, we have public liability insurance up to £10 million to protect against any accidents. We also complete comprehensive risk assessments before every shoot.

We are also fully CAA licensed to fly drones, including FPV.

Depending on project complexity, you’ll receive your first rough-cut edit between 7 and 14 days after filming.

You’ll then have the opportunity to review, provide feedback, and request adjustments before the final edit is delivered securely online.

We typically deliver in .mp4 or .mov, but can provide any other format free of charge upon request.

For TV broadcast, we recommend ProRes exports but will discuss this with media buying partners as to what is best for your project.

We also deliver video content in native format for all social and web channels, such as 9:16 and 4×4.

Once payment is complete, the video is entirely yours.
Unless otherwise agreed, Modus retains the right to publicly share the video in our portfolio or marketing materials.

Normally, a project that takes longer than 5 days to complete or will start 5 days after project agreement requires a 50% deposit upon signing the contract, with the remaining 50% due upon completion.

Final payment is typically due within 14 days of handover. Deposit invoices must be paid before production begins.

Priority or next-day projects require immediate payment.

Yes, we have a CAA-certified drone pilot (PfCO).

We comply with all CAA regulations:

  • Maximum altitude of 400ft (120m)

  • Permission from landowners for takeoff/landing

  • Flights in dry weather with winds under 15mph

  • FPV drone flying

Yes, we offer two options:

  1. Burned-in subtitles (always visible), or

  2. Optional captions for YouTube and other platforms, allowing toggling and multiple language options.

Yes, as long as amendments are made at least one week before production services start, our production team can accommodate them.

Yes, we provide photo and video services throughout the UK and internationally.
